Vienna Typeface is a three-dimensional portrait of the city Vienna (Austria/Europe) in 26 letters. The project captures the essence of this majestic city by illustrating the Latin Alphabet.
Feeling uncomfortable often comes with the first steps in a foreign city. The feeling of the unknown shows up everywhere. Suddenly, the strange feeling disappears and the city has cast its spell on you. Every traveler knows the appeal of discovering, the feeling of getting involved with the unknown. What is the essence that its individual character is made of that you finally fall for? Apart from the architecture, uncovering the small, beautiful details is part of the experience. The illustrations portray the apparently banal, ordinary characteristics combined with the classic sightseeing spots. Each of the illustrated letters is a 3D miniature that picks up an aspect of the Viennese lifestyle or a monument and portrays them in a diorama.
