Title sequence for TV show "Blackwater"
Description
The Swedish TV series “Händelser vid vatten” (Blackwater), based on the novel by Kerstin Ekman, is an uncanny story set in a fictitious small village in Sweden. It alternates between 1972 and 1991 involving a commune, a policeman, the village doctor and the dark secrets of the villagers.
All graphics for the title sequence and end credits are executed by hand as a nod to the visual language of the hippie movement and the politically radical use of hand painted banners, posters and flyers. Each episode has a unique expression with a set of abstract but seemingly meaningful drawings integrated with the hand drawn type.
Blackwater is a co-production between Sveriges Television, Filmpool Nord, Apple Tree Productions, ARD Degeto.
