The Pottery Soul

Description

The Bát Tràng Museum by National Artist Vũ Thắng, the inaugural government-approved private museum in the 700-year-old pottery craft village of Bát Tràng, pays homage to National Artist Vũ Đức Thắng. Originally named "Hồn Đất Việt" or "Viet's Ceramic Soul," the museum showcases Vũ Đức Thắng's legacy, notably his Guinness Record-winning pottery boots. Our redesign focused on integrating Thắng's unique techniques, introducing the MN Vũ Thắng custom typeface with "pottery-shoes-soul" inktrap touches. The visual system harmonizes with the diverse artworks, employing a clean photography style and a pottery silhouette canvas for buttons and patterns. Inspired by the museum's floor plan, a grid system ensures consistency. A simplified color palette accentuates the authenticity of the artwork, emphasizing the vivid hues and textures of the ceramic glaze. The redesign aspires to contemporize the Bát Tràng Museum while preserving its rich heritage collaboratively.
