Description
Studio 96 is a weekly mix show hosted by DJ Nocturnal Wax, featuring top-notch underground dance and electronic music. It’s broadcasted live every Friday on WERA 96.7 FM Radio Arlington in the Washington, D.C. area. Since 2019, we have been designing covers for the show’s episodes. It all started with formulating the show’s visual language, which resembles typographic stamps or the stamps usually found on underground vinyl records. We also draw inspiration from concrete poetry and reimagine various postage stamps, marks, and technical graphics, aiming to place them in a new, unexpected, contemporary context.
