Shanghai Sky
Description
Shanghai Sky is inspired by Shanghai pattern characters from the Republic of China period, it reflects Shanghai's traditional Chinese character aesthetics as well as the cultural tolerance and fashion of a cosmopolitan city. This font combines the different styles of Kaishu, Running Script, and Small Seal Script in a unique and bold fusion, and matches with Latin, Kana Script, and Manchu Script.The Latin type design integrates the stroke features of the Chinese characters, aligning harmoniously with the textual greyness of both scripts. To enhance versatility, the descender has been removed without compromising the legibility between letters.The Manchu script, with its simple strokes, reduces the width of the glyphs to match Hanzi while ensuring legibility. As a national script that has disappeared in China, it serves Chinese cultural projects through a simple yet distinctive contemporary design.
