Schriftmeisterinnen (Type Design Masters)
Description
The "Schriftmeisterinnenbuch" (female type master book) shows – as an ironic reference to the traditional, male-dominated "Schreibmeisterbücher" of the early modern era – all 15 typefaces used in the exhibition "The F*Word - Guerrilla Girls and Feminist Graphic Design". It introduces the designers as well as some of their other typefaces. The book includes fonts by Ange Degheest (Eugénie Bidaut, Oriane Charvieux, Luna Delabre, Camille Depalle, Mandy Elbé, Justine Herbel, May Jolivet, Benjamin Gomez), Contrast Foundry, Christina Janus, Larissa Kasper, Katharina Köhler, Jungmyung Lee, Zuzana Ličko, Sun Young Oh, Charlotte Rohde, Patricia Saunders, Alice Savoie and Andrea Tinnes.
The publication is printed with a Risograph in an oversize format of 297 x 420 mm. The cover motif is hand marbled by Sanna Schiffler and Marion Kliesch.
