Processed

Description

This is a Brand Identity design project for the exhibition "Processed”, that showcase the industrialization and Homogenization of the food industry. My research has shown that processed food has been around since prehistoric times, with industrialization, humans seems to have more and more food options today. Yet these options all boil down to one: corn. Basically everything people eat today are derived from corn.

The branding concept centers on this observation, using the corn shape as a foundational elements, highlighting how this once basic ingredient has become the foundation of modern food production. Based on the corn module. I developed a modular typeface as the key visual component. This design showcases how the beautiful images of agrarian life depicted in food advertisements are all just illusions. The project aims to emphasize the importance of understanding the impact of industrialization on the food industry.
