New ways of search reading magazines by students

Description

The set contains four readers and four index booklets with related unconventional and conventional typographic design features, with and without an extra augmented reality reading layer.

The readers contain a diversity of reading modus; long and short texts, articles, discussions. The index booklet contains seven different indexes ranging from image indexes to text-differentiated indexes. Conventional and unconventional index- typography is designed to connect the indexes with other typographic cues throughout the magazine’s content in a reader.

For the magazines’ content, the internet is used as an archival playground for re-posting discussions and making new connections in narratives. The relationship between the landscape and the beauty or distraction of (functional) artifacts is re-ensembled and used as a (typo)graphic reference catalog. The subject is relatively neutral; students did not have (much) prior knowledge of the topic.
