The Norwegian public broadcaster, NRK, is leaving its building at Marienlyst in Oslo after 80 years, opening up 107,000 square meters for new housing and businesses in central Oslo. The area will be developed into a creative, cultural hub where people can live, work, and experience art, music, food, and more. Marienlyst will unite NRK's history with Oslo's need to become a greener, more creative, and inclusive city. The area will be constantly transformed to reflect Oslo's essence of change. The Marienlyst Display will be a focal point, reflecting NRK's architecture and distinctive visual qualities. The variable typeface represents transformation between history and the future, inspired by the architecture of Kringkastingshuset and Store Studio. The font is designed for flexible animation and has its own style sets with negative shapes.
