Lyean

Description

Lyean , which is similar in pronunciation to the Chinese character "connection", is a screen-reading typeface family containing three scripts, Latin, Chinese simplified Hanzi and Arabic. The aim of this typeface is to build a connection between each Chinese ethnic minority script, exchanging cultures and building a comfortable, warm cultural space. The specific letterforms and features are friendly to Uyghur, Kazakh and Kirghiz users, which are the three major Chinese minorities using the Arabic script.

The design space is flexible to many situations. Most typefaces for screens are sans serif in China. Lyean brings a new atmosphere to screen reading, with slightly crunchy serif, organic shapes. Lyean emphasises a comfortable texture resulting in an effortless reading experience. From optical to display to sans, Lyean can adapt many typographic genres including small text on smart watches or outstanding titles on website pages.
