Kowloon Type Website design
Description
The new website for a font type foundry in Hong Kong, Kowloon Type. Design process was mainly conceived from Kowloon Type’s vision of enriching reading experiences of East Asian culture through typeface designs. Inspired by a Japanese manuscript paper, the screen places the menu and the logo at the center of the page. This is one way that the culture of East Asia and the uniqueness of paper media are incorporated. Another unique aspect of the website is the Key visual. Movies were shot in Hong Kong, where we captured the local sceneries and the scenes of the Kowloon Type’s typeface in use.
