Identity for Historisk museum
Description
The monogram, as well as the building, has a rich and strong design language. Therefore the other elements of the identity were toned down to a minimum which gives the monogram the space to be the main feature. As the monogram in some way is a part of their collection, we used the logo as a an object to be curated.
The identity has a large opportunity in the balance between sober and experimental, where the use of typography, colors and the placement and size of the monogram provide new rules for each execution of the identity.
The monogram has been updated and redrawn, and retrieves shapes from several of the different original versions of the monogram which can be seen around in the building.
