Cassandra - Opening Title
Description
Cassandra started back in 2014 as an experimental and typographical book that assembled seven monologues from seven Portuguese authors with only one common element, the character Cassandra. In 2020, Nuno M Cardoso, the creator of this project, wanted to transform these words into something even more visual and tangible, a TV show with seven episodes. This idea brought to life the need for an opening title representing the TV show and bringing back some of the book's essence. It was guaranteed we wanted to use only typography throughout the opening title, so there aren't any other graphic elements besides letters and words. Using only the typeface Rhode, we created an opening title where we travel from letter to letter, revealing its details, manipulating them, and driving through negative spaces and main credits, until we end up in the TV show's title, Cassandra.
