Baloney Suicide
Description
Graphic design and art direction for Violett Pi's 2022 LP, titled Baloney Suicide. The experimental rock album is about the romanticism of death and the notions of authenticity and illusion. The idea of creating a simulacrum – a 3D render of a steel sculpture and its mold – served as a starting point for the creative direction. We used an embossed foil stamping to give the vinyl jacket a distinct materiality, bringing the 3D render, used for the digital cover, to life.
