58. Solothurner Filmtage
Description
The visual appearance for „58. Solothurner Filmtage“ focuses on film as a moving medium and picks up on the dynamic montage of 24 frames per second. The iconic letters „SO“ (abbreviation for Solothurn) are inspired by the form and function of the „zoetrope“. This ancient and pioneer device produced the illusion of motion and was an essential step on the filmstrip’s way into the digital world.
Three different versions were developed, one for each of the swiss languages (german, french, italian).
The posters were used to promote the festival in different major cities in Switzerland.
