2022 Contents of the Year
Description
GQ Korea commissioned me to work on six pages for their Contents of the Year round up. The round up features various cultural moments ranging from Gen-Z of the Year (New Jeans, a South Korean girl group) to Word of the Year ("At Last," from the film "Decision to Leave"). For the layout, I was drawn to how Korean words can traditionally be written vertically. This inspired the idea of condensing these cultural moments into a shelf of tall and spine-like variety of illustrations and custom type treatments.
