Description
The FILMAR en América Latina Festival supports independent cinema and filmmakers from Latin America. The programming includes politically engaged and activist films, testimonials, retrospectives of cinema personalities, and the first works of emerging talents, reflecting the richness, diversity, and memories of the Latin American continent across seven sections.
The visual identity of the FILMAR 2022 festival explores typographic work that animates popular posters from Buenos Aires to Medellin, passing through São Paulo and Valparaiso. Inspired by graffiti that conveys political or social demands, advertisements of all kinds, and posters announcing the next cumbia concert, the poster reflects a popular means of expression.
The lettering work, entirely made to measure, takes on new forms on each communication medium.
